Customer Service?

A customer is a person who purchases goods or services from another; buyer; patron. Service is an act of helpful activity; help; aid: to do someone a service.  Now when receiving “customer service” I know I won’t always get exceptional service but I do expect to receive accuracte and friendly service.    This was not the case today during my visit to Wendys. I approach the drive thru screen and am greeted by a man and begin to place my order.  I state that I want the #6, add cheese, medium with an ice tea.  I pause for a moment and he says anything else?  I said yes I also need a Homestyle Chicken Filet sandwich, mayonaise only.  A lady then asks me what drink.  I repeat an ice tea.  She then says you want mayonaise only?  I said no I wanted to add cheese.  She states a total and tells me to pull around.  I inform her my second sandwich is not on the screen.  Oh what sandwich was that she asks?  I inform her it was the Homestyle Chicken Filet mayonaise only.  She says so you want mayonaise only on both sandwiches?  I said no, the spicy chicken is add cheese, I want everything that comes on it and add cheese.  The other sandwich is mayonaise only.  And you wanted what to drink?  Ice Tea, I repeat. I approach the window and pay and she asks again, what was your drink?  All the while I hear a guy talking to her in the background and she’s trying to respond to him, hear me and take the next order.  I was the only car in line at the time, so they were not busy.  As I was handed my food without so much as a thank you, have a nice day, rot in hell, etc. I pull away annoyed. Whatever happened to the good ole days when people actually had respect for others and took pride in their jobs?
